tomtom nav 5 --- help on trip plan

Hi, I'm new here and also new for this software. Maybe the question I have is a little stupid but hope somebody can help.
I need to make a trip between two cities which are at two different maps. Is that possible? And I don't see the iron for "manage maps". There is only a "switch map".
Any help will be appreciated.
