Sounds very interesting, I assume that the system will use Trafficmaster information, I dont know of any other way to judge traffic speed remotely, I look forward to reading a review of the software when it appears

I have recently noticed that the EU version of clearroute appears to be imminent, and that this seems to provide traffic based routing! Does anyone else think that this sounds ideal? What do people think of Mapopolis software so far, is it worth ordering? According to Expansys it supports GPRS 802.11x syncing before you leave, it sounds too good to be true, any thoughts? _________________ Why me?

I think it's a great idea, we have requested a review copy but Mapopolis are currently ignoring our requests at present, so I don't know if we'll get a review of this direct from Mapopolis, we can probably source this elsewhere with one of our sponsors though. |

Just a quick update - due to virually absent demand the Clearroute feature will be removed from Mapoplis - until the business climate for such a solution improves _________________ Lutz

According to Mapopolis, the Clearroute service has been closed down due to low usage (and little interest).
Mapopolis staff are very active in the forums at http://www.gpspassion.com/ and replies to virtually any forum post.

Lutz has requested that Mapopolis take an interest in this forum, and SafeHarbor here on Pocket GPS World is Lamar @ mapopolis support. |

well i sure would like the clearroute feature, I am thinking of getting the mapopolis now instead of navman software and in the review the clearoute looking very appealing and when I got the demo I couldn't find it. Now I know why, Oh well they are farther ahead than the others in the US it seems. Maybe they will have it sometime soon. I still have to buy a verizon wireless card anyhow. |
