hello, i've recently acquired a gopass gt-700 gps from newegg and for the life of me can't get it working with tom tom 5. I really hope someone can help.

specs of gps found here.
http://www.gopass.com.tw/products/bt2.htm

this gps device seems to be working in the software that it came with and the specs should be correct to run tom tom. I tried to search through some of the threads and found some clues as to the driver i need for tom tom to work properly. however i do not see the said gps option under settings, -> system. further more i do not seem to beable to change my bluetooth port settings to anthing other than port 8 and 6.

i'm running a pocket pc HP ipaq 4350.. pocket pc 2003 i belive. any ideas?? much thanks

to add to the above, here are the scenarios when trying to connect to the gps through tom tom's configuration

Other bluetooth device option (port6)
"no gps device found"

Wired NEMA GPS device on 4800Baud rate on port 6:
the screen appears for me to choose which bluetooth device. I select the BT GPS device (my gps unit). the screen hangs and does not exit the tom tom screen.
When in tomtom itself by tapping anywhere on teh screen, the following message is displayed "waiting for valid gps signal"

Wired NEMA GPS device on 9800Baud rate on port 6:

same as above.

Welcome to the forum, Have you configured the Bluetooth manager first, switch on Bluetooth, go to Bluetooth Manager, and the GPS unit should appear, select it (it may ask for a pass key, if so enter 0000), on the final screen select the Serial Port Profile (SPP), now you can run up TT and go into the prefferences/ Show GPS status, top RH is a small yellow/ blue symbol, if its spinning then it is communicating fine, take it all outside and wait (it could take upto 15 mins the first time - I know its cold, but it wil not work in the house), if its not spinning re-configure the settings, other cable NMEA device, set the GPS baud rate to 9600, on the final screen select the outgoing Bluetoooth serial port (as a tip before you do any of this rotate the screen to landscape mode, that way you will be able to see all of the line of text) - Mike
