|
|
Well, I finally got my TT ONE from Currys online yesterday (now I just have to chase them to pricematch the new lower prices!).
Now I want to get hold of a decent charger (so I can charge it in the house), and a case to keep it in.
I know TOMTOM do their own. I also know they’re ridiculously overpriced for what they are.
Can anyone give any guidance as to a suitable place to buy a cheap charger that would be compatible with the ONE?
Also, anyone found any decent storage pack to keep the TOMTOM in? |

Any 5V charger which will also charge an ipaq should do the job. |

Hi fisher
I also got my Tom Tom One a few days ago from Argos.
Argos sell a multi adapter for £8.00 I think but I bought a second hand one from Ebay. I have not received it yet but cant see why it should not work. |

A word of caution regarding non specific chargers : Make sure the polarity of the centre pin is correct ..Most things have a little diagram on them showing if the pin is +ve or -ve!

Comet sell the Tom Tom charger for £19.99.
The cheapest place I have seen the bag for the One is on the Tom Tom site itself.

You could try ASDA
They do a multi voltage transformer for about £5. it gives 300 Milli-ampers. I slid the selector to 4.5V no probs at all.
There are different size adapters that come with the mains transformer, it and there's is one that fits TomTom perfectly.
NOTE: On the side of the adapter it can go in two ways + or -
(Check this with the picture on the bottom of the Tom Tom)
It says TIP printed on the side of the plug... put the adapter in so TIP is +
Hope that helps |
