|
|
I've got about £280 to spend on a Sat-Nav solution, and can't decide which one to get.
I've been looking at a Navman ICN 520, the TomTom Go300 and the Garmin SP-C310.
I've had no experience of the TomTom package, but I like the sound of TomTom plus, though I can't find a price for the subscription and can't find any references to being able to use this site's speed camera POI database if I choose not to use Plus. I also like the options to hard wire it into the car. But as stated before, my main reservations are not knowing costs for tomtom plus, and not knowing if I can use this sites camera POI.
My friend has just bought a Navman 520, and it seems pretty good. Loaded all the POI's easily enough and it seems quite accurate at getting us where we want to go.
Then we have the garmin. The only garmin product i've used is the Streetpilot 2610 (BMW Navigator II) and thats quite good but costly, but I don't know how this compares to the cheaper C310.
Help!!! |

That's no problem whatsoever.

Depends what you mean by "Plus". Do you mean traffic information? If so see here for prices (in Euros) http://www.tomtom.com/plus/services/traffic.php
You might want to consider the TomTom ONE instead of the 300. Currently selling for £220 at the Carphone Warehouse. |

So, whats the difference between the 300 and the One?
Can I use the same in car kit that allows me to connect it to the stereo and mute when it needs to say something?? |

I personally prefer the GO 300. It's Bluetooth capabilities set it apart from alot of other similar models. |

Right, Might have been able to get a brand new, Go 300 for £200.
Came with a corsa, and the guy doesn't want it.

Have you decided what you're going to get? I'd go with the 300 if it were me. But that's just my opinion. |

If this guy can hold on to the 300 till I get paid, then i'm going for that.
Otherwise, I'm still not sure. I like the idea of tomtom plus, and the permanent car mounting kit, but both seem a little costly ontop of the price of the device.
Hmmm.
I can see it being a TomTom300 whichever way tbh. |

Good luck with that. Hopefully you'll get the 300. I think you'll really like all that it has to offer. |

Yep, Downloaded a Vauxhall splashscreen, so it blends in with my car, and might even get a spare face plate to spray it "Pineapple Yellow" |
