Garmin iQue M5

I have tried e-mailng Garmin about my iQue M5 and got nowhere. Is there anyone here who is an expert?

No1:
The M5 tries to send me down single track roads all the time. The roads sometimes are just the width of my car. I therefore set myself up as a "truck". and it still sends me off down single track roads not capable of taking a truck. How can I get it to stop being stupid and keep to sensible width roads?

No2:
Does anyone know of a program which will run on my M5 and read the excellent Pocket GPS World Speed trap data. I have the very nice map overlay one installed, but so far it does not give any verbal warnings?

i gave up with mine and got the nuvi so much better
