Pleased to recieve a new TTG700 yesterday, less thrilled to find out WinXP (SP1) ignores it completely when conected via the USB cable. TomTom itself shows the 'connected' screen just fine, I've tried it in different ports, powering on and off etc, but no joy.

Wierdly, all my other USB devices work fine. Anyone have any ideas?

The USB on the 700 is very tight. It needs a good push into the socket. Almost "clicks" into place.

WinXP should work fine with your GO.

Can you try another USB port and another Cable as well?

if you are still having trouble I'd visit windows update and make sure you have all the latest updates.

hope this helps.

SGould, u got it Embarassed Thought the connection was indeed secure, but turns out there was an extra 1mm of travel which made all the difference.

At least feeling slightly daft now is better than how i'd felt if I RMA'ed it - Cheers :D
