PDA crashes

My PDA has started crashing every time I take it out of the holder in the car when I've been using TT5.210. It goes completely dead. A soft reset cures it, but I'm concerned that there may be a fault that could damage the PDA (Ipaq 2210).

Any ideas?

have you tried shutting down TT5 and turning off the PDA before removing it?

Thanks. I've tried turning it off and disconnecting the power supply, but not closing down TT. Funny thing is that this has onle started happening recently.
