Go 500 and XDAIIi

Apologies if this has been covered - this is my first post and I am pretty new to SatNav.

I have just purchased a TomTom Go 500 which seems very cool indeed. I have a XDAIIi which I am trying to connect to it via bluetooth so that I can take advantage of handsfree/traffic/weather etc. My first attempts are pretty irratic. The PDA-phone is detected just fine, but when I try and setup wireless internet, the XDA is not listed in the drop down list. Also, when I try and dial out of the TomTom, my XDA screen shows up something like "Unknown Application" and tries to dial a "0".

What am I missing? Is the XDAIIi supported? I know it doesn't appear on the TomTom website (at least I don't think it does), but I assume this is just a list of phones that TomTom 'recognizes', and it is not an exhaustive list.

Any tips/pointers would be most appreciated.
