3 network and tomtom plus services

hi, just purchased tomtom one and when i tried to access plus sevices was told by 3 network helpline that you cant do this over 3 network. was just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with this network or any other network.

3 Have a Walled Garden in place to stop you using Internet Sites outside of theirs.

Basically to stop you going and downloading content cheaper of the net and avoiding their rip off pricing.

Moral of the story is to go and sign up to a proper 3G network with proper 3G data access.
