Hi,

Having problems with my new bluetooth GPS BT-338 and TT5 navigator I have connected the BT-338 to the IPAQ 2210 and I am receiving between 6 to 8 sats. When I load up the TT5 software it does not see a GPS devise. I have followed the instructions on the Tom Tom site for configuring another bluetooth GPS and set it to comms port 8, but it still does not pick up the receiver. The unit has been online for over an hour.
Can anybody help. The software is the latest edition as is the GPS. Just got it to-day.

Try pairing the device, then use "other NMEA cabled device", on the next screen set the baud speed and finally select the Bluetooth port on the last screen. Give the device a clean line of sight to the sky and you should be OK. Make sure the other software is not hogging the GPS port so whatever you are using to see the 6 sats needs turning off, just to be on the safe side - Mike

Mike,

Thanks for the help. Seems that for what ever reason I have done a soft re-set and placing the unit near to the window has kicked it into life.

cheers,

Jan
