Garmin Legend Position format problem...HELP!!!!

Help !!!

I have just bought a Garmin Legend and I have set it to Position Format: British Grid and Map Datum: Ord Srvy GB. However when I look at the satellie screen for my location I get for example - Location"NT 06809 BNG 92348". If I have set the setting to Britsh grid I was expecting a 6 digit reading. How do I use this with relation to reading a paper map grid referance? and is their any way of changing it to read a 6 digit grid referance.

I think NT 06809 BNG 92348 could also be written as NT 068 923 and the extra digits are the Garmin's way of giving a more accurate position than you were expecting...
