C500 keeps losing Bluetooth GPS

Hi,

If I run TT5 on my C500 with a non TT GPS, I can only get TT to recognise the GPS receiver if I rename it to "TomTom Wireless GPS".

This is ok but when I exit TT5, bluetooth turns itself off and I lose the pairing with the GPS receiver. The only way I can make it work again is to seup the pairing and bluetooth com ports etc all over again.

Has ayone else experienced this and maybe has fixed it?

AFAIK, with TT5 you have to call the pairing 'BT GPS', and it won't get lost after exiting TT5. 'TomTom Wireless GPS' was for TT4 (a.k.a. TomTom Mobile 2005)

I tried keeping the pairing name as "BT GPS" but TT5 didnt seem to be able to see the receiver at all when I did that ?? I'll try again

Ok, I tried again and gave it a little time to try and pickup the BT GPS and wadayaknow it worked!! BUT... (Theres always a BUT ) It STILL turns off bluetooth when I exit the TT5 app. !!

Can this be cured or does anyone out there have a little utility to check the BT status and turn it to On or Discoverable if its found to be Off ??
