Hello people I thought I would pen to paper indefence of TT5. I have an ageing IPAQ 3950 a brodit mount and my GPS receiver for the past three years has been a road angel now called road angel classic. That died six months ago so I am now using my new road angel for my GPS input for TT. I know this site has a good camera data base and I do use it along side my RA sorry I digress.
Knowing no better to start with I bought a complete set from HP including PDA GPS Sleeve and a version of CO Pilot. To cut a long story short I stumbled across TT1 what a revelation that was. I've gone from TT1 to TT2 missed, TT3 (I was quite happy with TT2). I bought the upgrade to 5 which installed ok it runs a lot quicker on my IPAQ than 1 & 2 ever did. Post code search works as well as Niels add on for TT2. I am tempting fate now, it has never crashed does not discharge my IPAQ if I do not quit before switching off. It took a little getting used to the menu screens but they are easier to use with fingers. It does do the odd thing now and again while calculating routes but so did TT1, TT2 and Co-pilot. After all it is a piece of software running on a Microsoft operating system.
Sat Nav sure as hell takes the stress out of driving for me I average 30K a year all over the country but I still have an up todate paper road atlas in the car which I do check.
To sum up TT5 is good for me it works a lot quicker than 1 & 2, it aint perfect but I would hate to be with out it. I'll probably need to get a flack jacket and steel helmet to protect me from the disgruntled TT5 users. PS Sylvia's voice is pretty cool

nope not from me anyway ,on the whole i am quite happy with tt5 although there are a few tweaks they could do like stop tt from adjusting my backlight /start faster ,the routing isn't so bad well it could be a little better but on the whole it gets me from a to b which is what i want and yes i do about 30000 miles a year as well
