When you buy TTN5 preinstalled on a memory card it isn't in a subdirectory, and so the root of the memory card is quite messy.

can I move everything into a subdir, or will this cause me problems?


(in fact, most software when installed to the card seems to assume that it can write anywhere on the card - so much for subdirectories!)

Do not move the tomtom directories into a sub-directory - it will stop working.
Why TomTom wrote it this way is a mystery & very irritating.

thats what I assumed - just wanted to check that it didn't do something sensible like ask where the files were, or at least search for a subdirectory called tomtom (or similar).

I note that activesync 3.8 isnt' much better - installing to the storage card just dumps everything in there as the app decides.
