Bluetooth on Nokia 6680

Hello,

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but do the Nokia 6630 or 6680 support multiple bluetooth connections at the same time? I am considering buying one of these phones for use with TomTom Mobile 5 and a bluetooth GPS reciever but I also have a bluetooth handsfree kit that I would like to use at the same time.

I can't find the answer anywhere, even the Nokia website doesn't have this information so if anyone can enlighted me it would be much appreciated.

I have helped install TT Mobile 5 on my friends Nokia 6680. He has a Nokia HS-4W bluetooth headset and they both work at the same time. TomTom voice guidance is suspended when a call is made or received and then resumes once the call is terminated. Not sure whether it works in the same way with other bluetooth headsets - if you already have one you could give them a go. 8)

i use the 6680 and motorola h500 head set voice guidence to your ear peace and if someone calls tt mutes and returns to normal when call is ended excellent bit of kit :D

It might depend what firmware you have on your 6680.

I've got 3.04.35 - if I've got TTM5 running then switch on my BT headset I can use both. But occasionally if I get a call, and more often than not if I get a text message, TTM5 will close down and I have to restart it.

Frequently, if I've got TTM5 running, and the BT headset connected, and then connect to Traffic, the phone freezes and I have to switch off and on again.

I think there are lots of problems with the firmware. I get lots of memory full errors and have to reboot the phone to get TTM5 to run at all.
