problem downloading database

i'am new to all this please HELP.I follow the navman instructions to down load the speed camera database to my computer to the letter.But when i try and open the files in notepad i get lots of letters and numbers which looks nothing like what the instructions say they should be like.Please help do not fancy £60 fine.

Are you using the files from 'csv files/other' Folder?

If you are you should see something like -

-1.23456,50.12345,"camera details"

hi old boy thanks for the reply just tried to download the camera database again still getting the same thing happening .the first screen comes up asking me to download the file witch is called
Name.pocketgps_uk_sc_aug05.zip
Type.compressed(zipped)folder,1.38mb
Then i save it to temp files .when i open it in temp files to open it in notepad i get the notepad screen up with the first line reading.

Hi Dicko,

Once you've downloaded the pocketgps_uk_sc_aug05.zip file you need to unzip it with an application like WinZip.

Once you've unzipped the file and got the relevant files and folders, you can then find the instructions for Navman products.

What you were doing wrong was opening it with Notepad before unzipping it.
