TomTom Go - Which files do i need to upgrade ?

Hi.

Been away for a while and noticed a lot of upgrades about now. Currently have the the original TomTom Go. Which files do i need to do to get my tomtom up to date please , thanks

Current Version:

tomtom go
App: 5.000 (4109/050407)
30mb Ram (Free 8.2mb)
GPS 1.21 Bott 2.02
Map: "Great Britan Map" V390

If you do want to upgrade the maps, you have until the end of October, as that is the TomTom deadline for the upgrade period.

I Have tried to update to 5.202 but tomtom still shows 5.201, any ideas.

I thought I would give ScaredyCats software a go mainly for the add Speed Cams but I am unsure which files to change since there is no install program.

Erm.. no, I can't help I'm afraid, 'cos I haven't done it myself yet!

I've been waiting for Scaredy to re-appear, so I can ask him if I can just install Quickam and not the other bits and pieces.

Thats what I want to use but I have to install 5.202 first but how to do that I just dont know.

I have tried drag and drop but nothing seems to work.

As I dont really understand the other bits I dont see any point in installing them.

That's just what I thought! And looking at all the posts on the forums, Quickam seems to work "straight out of the tin" whereas the others seem to be much more tricky to get sorted.

Maybe try posting Here. I waded through looking for specific instructions to install V5.202 without any luck, but lots of the people posting in that thread must have got past that stage, so could tell you how to do it.

here M8 done it also here is what I did....

contents of ttgapp5_202 into root of card

catapps....sdkregistry....skin... folders are copied into root of card.

open "copy to maps" and put contents into GB_Maps.

open catappsfix and paste contents into root of card thereby replacing the one already in there

I dont know whats going on now, the top of the screen is flashing the time and date, time is right but date is showing 25th May why that date I have no idea.

Version is still showing 5.201

Can someone please tell me how what where the file named 'ttgapps 5.202' should go as it is not an EXE file or a ZIP therefore it cannot be run.
