Does anybody know how to increase the blue tooth phone volume as its quiet on my Tom Tom 700

The actual main Tom Tom volume makes no difference to the phone settings and is too quiet on the move, any ideas ?

Im using it with a Nokia phone

Thanks

While you are making a phone call touch your screen to go to menu & then go to your phone icon & press again - you'll see a new menu appear :D .

On the x10 (not sure about other nodels) you can also adjust the phone volume with the slider control, as you would the voice navigation volume. The two volume settings are independent of each other.

Excellent answer. I didn't know that, and for the last 5 months I've not been using hands free, because the volume was too low.

I think the manual could be a lot better as I don't recall either of these phone volume options being mentioned.

Also, when I click on the phone audio icon in the menu referred to above, the phone disconnects from the 510 every time. I assume this is another quirk with Sony Ericsson phones, as with not sending the caller ID to the TT.

The 'manual' could be a lot better in many ways Wink

Another 'quirk' of Hands-free is that although BlueTooth apparently drains the phone's batteries pretty quickly, which means you have to keep the 'phone charged up, the TomTom's mic will only work if you have it plugged into the lighter socket... Rolling Eyes

Surely that's because the mic is part of the mount, which has no battery, and is only powered by the aux power plug. As far as I know, the Go itself doesn't feed power back down into the mount to run the mic.

Really? Well that may explain why I keep being told about the poor performance of the handsfree from people I'm speaking to. I only connect to the lighter socket when the battery is running low.

Quite possibly, but whatever the reason, it's a bit dumb...
