Power lead differences XDA / XDAII

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the USB power/data lead for these PDAs?
I bought a XDA lead for my Qtek 2020i (XDAII equiv) and found that audio functions cease to work when the interface plug is inserted. The seller assured me they were identical. I have tried 2 leads, both with the same results. Is there perhaps a difference between the XDAII and the Qtek 2020i?

there is a slight physical difference if you look at the sockets theres a little block on one that isnt on the other. my brother had an XDAII but had to buy a cable and got the wrong one the first time round.
