Got TomTom 5 installed on a MIO168. All runs fine until I try to access some POI's I've loaded onto it. I subscribed to POIHandler and as an example, I downloaded the Morrisons POI file. Says it's downloaded and I can see it in the GB map folder on the PDA but when I try Navigate to POI, it doesn't appear in the list of POI's!
Any ideas please?

TTN5 has a limit of 40 POI categories that it can handle.

Does it appear in POI manager, if so select it, then you should be able to nav to it, also don't exceed the max number of POI catagories selected at any one time - cheers mike (from the pub)

Ok the 40 limit would make sense but how do I delete those I don't want? I have tried manage POI both as category and single POI BUT the list there is nothing like the list I see whwn I navigate to POI! The navigate to list is much much longer so where is that list stored so I can get rid of a load I don't want?

Ok thinking I'd found a way of deleting the POI list, I deleted the map directory and put a new copy on the card with no POI files at all. Now when I go to manage POI's, the delete options are greyed out as expected as there are no POI's BUT the navigate to POI list is still full as before !! Where is this list held? Obviously not in the map directory where I thought it would be!

It's what is held in poi.dat, the built in POI's. They are not very good, or accurate, generally and not used by many.

The 40 limit applies to custom POI's that are added.
