If you are having problems with signal strength don't bother trying to relocate your unit, just get yourself an external aerial. The increase in the amount of satellites you get is superb. the aerial is only a flat disc that sits on your roof (or wherever you care to put it). On the downside it costs around £40 but is a great investment.

Where from, and dont you think that after spending hundreds of pounds an external aerial should be included in the box, the bloody thing is supposed to be plug in and go, thats why its called a Go, if you havent got the correct screen its no Go.

Wake up.

Totally agree - best thng I bought for mine, you can get a signal anywhere.

P.S I do hope you are awake when you're driving 8O I've heard it can be very messy if you're asleep..... Laughing

Yes, it is true. I tried it on a Renault Laguna that I hired for a while.

Have a close look at the outside of the window. You can see that the heat reflective coating has a bluish tinge to it when viewed at the right angle in bright sunlight. Now have a look at the rear view mirror, you often see that there is a dark tinted patch around it, this is because there is no heat reflecting coating on this area. You can often see that there is no bluish tinge to the reflection in this area.

Hi. If I buy an external antenna does this mean that the TTG mount will have to be left in place when I leave the car as for as far as I can see the antenna cable is fitted to the base. This would alert a theif to the Satnav in the car.

cheers for your input. Question
