1) yes, define the 338 as the default SPP device - search this forum for BT BrowserEnabled
2) this is a "feature" of TomTom - you can try version 5.100 but it didn't fix the issue for me... (I have different hardware) _________________ Lutz

I ended up just using the wired GPS with the XDAIIs, that way I had no problems with the BT headset, it all worked fine, there is a new ROM, and Radio stack avail from O2 for this device (it came out end of last wek), as it does a major upgrade to the Bluetooth side you should consider loading that, unless you have already done so - I assume its an O2 device?.
For some of the other traits of the IIs have a read through http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=28396

I am not sure the second problem is a TT5 "feature". I have an Ipaq 6340 (phone & PDA) running PPC 2003 qnd TT5 with a Parrot CK3300 combined BT car phone kit and sat nav receiver. When I receive a call using the Parrot kit the sat nav continues in the background and reappears when I hang up. |

I have a 6315 and when a call finishes TomTom loses the GPS connection. _________________ Lutz

The IIs works fine with a BT headset and wired GPS, no drops in GPS connection, TT just mutes the directions while on the phone, it comes back on once you terminate the call - I have never experianced problems with traffic reception either - it just all works fine - mike |

Mike this is the same with mine except instead of a BT headset I use a BT car kit (Parrot). My sat nav receiver is part of that kit but has a seperate BT connection. It may have something to do with the fact that in TT5 I installed it as a wired serial receiver even when it was not. Or maybe the BT connections (phone and sat nav receiver) on the Parrot just work together better. |
