6680, Tomtom M5 & the latest speed cams!!!! HELP NEEDED

first off hi guys, been reading up on this forum for the last couple of months and have always got all the info i've needed, great site!

I have just had to register now, in order for you lovely people to help me out.

so my problem is i've d/l the speed cam db, copied over the speedzoned .bmp & .ov2 files into my map location on my mem card.

when i search through the POI's they simply are not there according to Tomtom :confused:

i have copied them exactly the same way as i have with all the other important POI's, eg McD's, KFC, etc!

but TT doesn't seem to pick them up for some reason, Fexplorer & my windows explorer seems them all nicely copied over.

i've uninstalled/reinstalled many times yet nothing

any help much appreciated!

how did you transfer then? if bluetooth then they get altered, use a card reader,
also if you use fexplorer to transfer the files from directory to directory on the card, again they will have been altered.

don't know what happens to them but tomtom won't see them.

I transfered via cable and copy and pasted using windows explorer on my pc. I did this for loads of POIs and they're all showing up fine in win explorer & Fexplorer but in TomTom it's not showing them in with the rest of the POIs.

have you tried looking in the poi file you may need to enable them thru poi manager in tom tom you will also need to set the disatnce and alarm sounds to your own tastes using warn when near poi

i transfered some pois such as kfc etc they seemed to appear by them selves where as i had to enable the camera poi's in the menu

you could try using the other files you downloaded such as the redlight camera and the specs cameras as they i believe are not included in the zoned files
