navigation with iCN510

I bought my navman last week and since my country is not yet covered (slovenia) i went to try navigation in italy. i went to the airport of treviso and since i know the road pretty well i wanted to try my new navigation buddy.
i have followed the instructions given by navman (how to navigate), but it seemed that navman was not working properly. i constantly showed the SIM navigation (he presumed i was travelling 100 km/h on highway) and was constantly behind me. when i got to the city of Treviso i was shocked
the navman navigation was disaster: the position on iCN was not even close to the point i was...

is there something else i should configure on my iCN510, because if I follow the instructions all i get is the SIM of my route.
please tell me how to properly use my iCN.

I'm not sure but it sounds as if you are stuck in Route Demonstrator.

Read chapter 13 of the manual. At the bottom of the chapter it tells you how to Disable Route Demonstrator.

i've checked my navman and i did have demonstration mode on.
now i hope i will be able to use the device.
