Has anyone had this problem?
I have bought the TT5 upgrade from TT but it will not instal.
The program starts from the CD and gets as far as moving files image but then hangs. On one occasion it actually rebooted my PC!
The CD browses ok so I am at a loss!
I have sent the same question to TT tonight to see if they can shed some light on it.

I didn't work.
Then 3 days later it did ????
Now the maps won't load. 'Not enough free space in the temporary folder, cannot run setup"
Why oh why can't software writers provide better fault information !!
A 'see xyz file for possible cures' is all it needs. Grrrrrr

Why is TT _still_ supplying software with this installation bug?
There is a cure for this on the Tomtom web site.
The solution I adopted....
Go into the c:/windows/temp folder and delete the 'setup' file. You should then be able to get the installation screen for the maps. You may have to reboot your computer. |
