TTN5 cause of T3 hotsync hang/freeze

In addition to all of the other problems other people have encountered, I ran into another annoying problem after installing the TTN5 to the SD card of my T3. Yes, I followed the instructions, formatted the SD card first and put the app and the maps on the SD.

Hotsync worked fine at first, before I launched Navigator, but after I launced it, hotsync would freeze when it got to the 'System' section of the hotsync (the last section). Not even cancelling the hotsync worked at this point. I had to kill the process via 'Task Manager' in windows and soft reset the T3.

After a lot of hair pulling, I poked around the TTN5 files and noticed that there were two copies of some files that were named almost the same.
currentMap_dat.PDB and currentmap_dat.PDB. Another post said that these were generated each time TTN5 is run, so I just deleted one of them (currentMap_dat.PDB) using filez and now the hotsync runs fine!

I'm a little disappointed in how buggy the new version is, and will be writing an email to tomtom. Hopefully if anyone else runs into this hotsync hang, this will fix it.
