OK, just upgraded to TTN5, and I quite like some of the features, but I don't like the detection of the built-in keyboard. Makes typing postcodes in impossible.
But that's nothing compared to my problems.
For the record I'm using an Orange SPV with the latest updates and a version1 tom tom gps bluetooth reciever
With 3.07 I could switch BT on, load tomtom and it would automatically connect to my reciever straight away and be ready to go.
Now with V5, it loads quicker, but hangs as soon as it loads. After about a minute it releases itself and carries on, but still hasn't connected to the reciever. After about another minute it finally connects. But then, after a totally random amount of time tomtom simply disappears, and I'm left with my PDA today screen and no sign of tomtom even having been run.
I can restart it, but it does the same thing.
Soft reset and the same.
Reinstall and the same.
It's really upsetting!
One thing i do notice is that when I re-load tomtom, it leaves a gap in the system tray as if it's expecting something to be there. Normally it'd be:
tomtom logo, bluetooth logo, wifi logo
but once it's crashed and restarted it's:
tomtom, <GAP>, bluetooth, wifi
Any ideas?
Never had any problems with TTN3.07 (other than the maps being out of date)

And if it crashes twice you get two gaps, then.....!!!
When TomTom 5 crashes it does not perform any cleanup functions on exit therefore the operating system still sees an occupied position in the system tray. So when you restart TomTom it uses the next available position in the system tray.
