Can anyone tell me what the default speeds on TT5. I have recently upgraded and discovered that I can't change the speeds and I need to know what they are set at so i can adjust my journeys accordingly.

Thanks

I've no idea, but they are fairly realistic. If you stick to the speed limits you can normally get to the destination a little sooner. I would estimate approx. 5mins or so per hour of driving (assuming you're not parked on the UK's largest car park called the M25).

Motorways seem to be 67mph and A roads about 50. If you stick to the speed limit you'll notice the eta getting earlier. Not a bad thing.

I have experience of two navigation softwares - Mapopolis and Mapsonic. Mapsonic enables you to set the speed associated with different classes of road, Mapopolis doesn't have anywhere where you can enter speeds. Yet I find that Mapopolis is more accurate. I was wondering; it wouldn't be at all complicated for the software to have a 'learning algorithm'. Maybe that is what Tomtom has.
