I have recently installed Checkpoint 5 on my Ipaq hw6515 but whenever I run it & try to set it up all I keep getting is the following message when I try to Synchronize:

"Before you can synchronize, the map used by TomTom Navigator has to be known to CheckPOint. Please press the Navigate button first to make that happen."

When I press the Navigate button, Tomtom loads up and nothing else happens and I get same message again and again & all options for synchronizing are greyed out.

Is this a Windows 2003 Mobile edition problem, or something else?

Are you running the ROM version of TomTom? That may not be compatible with Checkpoint 5

Not sure!

But here's what I have done so far:

After buying the hw6515 I then purchased the full set of maps of Europe & Great Britain from the TomTom website, which also includes the Navigator program. I removed the TomTom program that came installed on the Ipaq. I then installed the new Navigator software & GB map, postcodes etc from the CD's onto the Ipaq, & I then upgraded to the latest release on the TomTom website using their link to update the hw6515.

Phew!

Not sure if this is different upgrade to the normal PPC version though. Maybe that could be the problem?!

no, you should be fine then.

Have a look if the iPAQ has a folder \My Documents\TomTom and if that folder contains a file "currentmap.dat"

Hmm... that's where CheckPOint should take their wisdom from as to which map is loaded. I fear you'll have to ask them guys directly. From here your setup looks a-ok.
