I need to punch in a postcode on Tomtom 5 and with the next touch of the stylus I need it to "show on map". Is this possible with the latest Tomtom 5? If not, why not?...Seems a basic thing to me to want to see a map display of a postcode with minimal fuss without gps connected.

In "Browse Map" mode, you can click the Magnifying Glass at the bottom, select postcode, type in your 6 or 7 characters and press Done, Done (i.e. don't enter a house number) and it will show it on the map.
Not exactly "One Click", but hey this is TomTom after all.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for that Slider.....I got spoilt with Tomtom 3 with the UK postcode add on from Neil which was a one touch map display although it was withdrawn. Seems like progress is one step forward and two steps back sometimes. |
