Map Display Size in TTN5

Having upgraded from TTN3 have now been using TTN5 for a week now and still trying to get used to it. Currently not sure which of the problems I am encountering are bugs and which are new "features" that I have not yet got my head round.

Struggling to get my speedcam database to give any warnings but not investigated this yet. Have found system drops out and freezes on regulat basis. This morning manageed to exit TTN5 at end of journey but unable to switch off PDA. Will browse the bug list - am assuming others will be experiencing similar.

However, the point of this posting - is it just me or has the map view/scale gone a lot smaller? I find myself really struggling to see the blue current location arrow, the roads seem a lot thinner. Is there anyway of setting preferences for default map scale?
