5.2 upgrade not working HELP !!!!

I have a TTG on v4.420 with the originally supplied SD card - all was working fine. I downloaded the 5.2 upgrade (ttgroup520.exe) from the TomTom website and followed the instructions to the letter. Initially it complained that there was not enough space on the SD card so I removed some of the voice prompts with the upgrade software then proceeded to upgrade - which according to the screen says that the upgrade was successful.

However - upon removing the USB cable and turning the TTG on all I get is an animated screen showing the SD card removed from the unit with a big red cross over the card.

Am I doing something wrong ???

By the way - if I remove all the files from the SD card and then resore my original files (from backup) the unit works fine again.

HELP !!! Confused

as big as you can afford. Nowadays 1GB seems to be a good starting size.

And don't think it will last forever - it's amazing how quickly even a 1GB card can fill up ...

Also if you have a TTG and not a 300 or 500 I would not bother installing the 5.2 upgrade at all as this is meant primarily for the 300 & 500 models.

Install the 5.1 and you should be OK. I agree about the card size too, I have a 1GB card in my TTG.

Anyone out there have a copy of the 5.1 install .exe file they could send me ???

I have trawled the net and can only find the 5.2 version
