It appears to be the application, but I'm confused because it doesn't have the usual PRC extension. How does this file work? Is it executable? Opening it reveals references to CPP source code files. |

Hi jgombos,
I just had a quick look and would guess that you are right in your assumption that it is one of the main program files.
The .bin extension is is often used to denote binaries or other code, the file is not executeable in its own right but is called by the tomtom program.
Hope this helps _________________ Samsung Note 20 ultra

Where would I go to find out how to take it apart? Is there a bin file disassembler? |

You would need a reverse translater for the platform you are working on. However, I suspect that you would be on dodgy ground with respect to the law as all the licence agreements I've read state that no reverse translation of the product is allowed.
I'm guessing that this query relates to your thread reagrding the splash screen? If so I must admit i've only seen it on first install, and following a complete restore. _________________ Samsung Note 20 ultra

Yes, the munich.bin file is exquivalent to TomTom Navigator.exe on a Pocket PC.
And no, you are not permitted to disassemble it with IDA or other tools. _________________ Lutz

Perhaps as a license holder I'm not, but that's not to say a license holder doesn't have friends who are not bound by the license. |
