Baud Rate

After worring about installing TTN5 with BT-338, i have managed to complete this task with minimum fuss (thanks to you guys on here). I had set aside a whole day to do battle with it, but done it within 20mins.

I have the following settings
Other Cable NMEA device / Com 8

At the moment the baud rate is set a 9600 but it will work on other baud rates as well, which is the best one.

From my understanding Baud rate is like the speed at which data can be exhanged, the higher the baud rate the faster the exchange will be (if the deivce supports the rate) but pottentially less reliable.

What is the best baud rate for my setup (see profile) is it 4800, 9600 etc

TomTom after asking them the question said 4800 but i would like to get other opinions from here, more reliable

P.S. I think tomtom support is now using this website to get there answers!!

Bluetooth receivers are auto sensing - they will use any baud rate you throw at them. Having said that, 4800 is the standard for cable receivers, and 38400 is the standard for BT receivers.
