Any one there who sucessfully used the TTN & Pocket Outlook addressbook_navigation???
TTN2 describes to use the addressbook entries to navigate to the eg. privat address.
I'm using a hp Journada540 with WIN CE vers.3.0.9348(Build9357).
Selecting an entry from the contacts, it pops up the Tomtom menu "Navigate to .." and "Show TomTom Map". Either selection brings the TomTom screen "Navigate to" and valid entry, but only the "Cancel" buttom is active. No chance to use the "OK" buttom !! _________________ gps_pW

Have you made sure you have put the contact address details in, it works on mine by pre-populating the Street Number and City details. Pressing the OK button asks for confirmation, then routes to the address

Thanks for yr input.
Sorry, but it seems not to solve the problem:
First I used the TTN2.05 with the screen "route planning (to)" .. entered a valid address and pressed "OK".
With that "valid" address info I updated the Outlook Pocket entry .. called the TTN2 pop-up .. showing the WIN CE Contacts with subline: "navigate to". This screen has excatly the same entries as the first TTN usage. But -- no way -- to get that bottum line "OK" usable!!!
So, as said with the first msg, no change to go on to the TTN2 navigation! ??
Any further advice?
I already send a support call to TomTom -- no relpy (after 3 days)!

The only thing I can suggest is that with Win CE Contacts, click the down arrow against the Home address field and ensure that the Town is displayed in the 'City' field. If it is displayed in the 'Street' field you will not get the OK option.

inwestGPS, it could be down to the way your address is formulated. You probably have it correct and TomTom have their database wrong. This has been seen a lot in TTN2. Some towns/cities are listed differently in TTN2 then what you would expect, so unfortunately it means erroneously changing your contacts to match what TomTom expect (you can find this out by trial and error using TTN2 address database rather than Outlook).
It may be a different problem you're experiencing. If you've got an address that isn't personal that you could post here, we could try it and see if we get the same problem. |

@SteveW + @Dave !
Thanks & sorry, both tipps didN't brought the result.
I started (nearly) all over; made a Journada Reset (at the back with the red button) & just used the Pocket Addressbook to select the "to" address. This is excactly written as within TTN2 -- all entries at the right place (SteveW ;>).
No "OK" -- only "Canacel" !! ??
Would you recommand to reinstall the TTN2 ?? What else ??

If you are typing the complete address that you have listed in Pocket Outlook identically into the correct fields in TomTom Navigator's search or A to B function and it's failing, then there's something critically wrong. It might be a problem with the German maps, I would certainly contact TomTom and wait to see what their response is on this. |
