TT BT box woes

Just upgraded to ver 5, having purchased this a week ago. Glad I did not try to set it up as have used precious hours doing so.
Set up initially fine, until time to recognize the bt sat receiver. I am using the tt bt box (light blue - TomTom wireless gps 9821x) that came with my original version 2.
I could not get the program to work - despite all advice on tt and on this forum. I then tried a hard reset of my ipaq 4770 and restore. Bits of ver 5 still hanging on - deleted them and then found another TT gps program still present - this time recognizing the bt sat receiver!
I wondered if 2 versions of the gps software had been present and interfering with each other. Deleted all gps stuff and reinstalled the ver5 software.
It recognized the sat receiver using the other gps receiver choice on port 8

I would suggest that you try removing all previous stuff from your ipaq and then installing - it might save you hours
