Incompatible CF GPS & TT5

Help!
Have been running TT3 and Memory Map on A Dell Axim X50v with a compact flash Crux II card configured to NMEA, model NMEA 0183, RMC on com3 at 800 baud.

Have installed TT5 and selected GPS as EMTAC CRUXII_CF_L and no valid gps signal is displayed (tried for 30 mins) Borrowed anotherCF GPS Card (CF_CARD GE) and this worked fine.

Any idea Sad

800 Baud is a typo, right? Should be 4800.

Have you selected "Other cable GPS" or "Other BT GPS" ?

I had the same problem - selecting NMEA and setting 4800 baud together will allow TT5 to recognise the CF GPS but I couldn't get a GPS signal. It just kept looking for satellites.

I solved the problem by attaching the external 'aerial' to the CF card and now it works fine - apart from the usual TT5 issues unrelated to the CF card.

Hope this helps - maybe the TT5 gps driver requires a stronger signal than TT3
