TT NAV2004 & IPAQ HX2755 - Loses home and favorites

TT NAV2004 with Ipaq HX2755 installed with 4.44 HP Update. TT loses home and favorites after unit is powered off. Did a search and unable to find a solution. TT does remember my preferences. Ipaq seems to be operating fine otherwise. Is there a file that's not being created or is getting erased somehow?? Software is installed in main memory with maps on CF card.
