Hi Paul,
I have iPAQ 3870, which is essentially the same as the 3970 (just a marketing difference I think).
I have two problems...
1) It drops the Bluetooth connection to my GPS after about 20mins of driving and won't reconnect. It doesn't happen if stationary & didn't happen with TT3. Feels like a device driver problem to me (and before someone else suggests it I don't mean the car driver - i.e. me! ). It seems like the CPU can't keep up with all the activity - just before the last time it failed the verbal directions became stuttered.
2) Whether power from the mains or the car the Charging light goes out after about 10mins of TTN5 running. Make TTN5 a background task (e.g. by bringing up the Power Screen) and the light comes back on again.
Cheers, Jim |

I've got mine loaded onto a 3950 (3970 without the built in bluetooth). The program goes better with a hard reset and a full format of the SD card. |

I've never done a hard reset of my 3970. Is the correct procedure as follows:
1) Back it up
2) Hard reset
3) Restore everything (including TomTom 2)
4) Upgrade to TT5
Or should I upgrade first, then back up, then hard reset, then restore?
Thanks |

I would hard reset first if thats what you want (remember you lose everthing in memory) Then put TTN5 on without replacing TTN3. The cd does contain the full programs
Hope that helps _________________ Asus Zenfone 2 twin sim, Garmin Zumo 550, 660 and pocketgps speed camera database
