Been looking over anything I can find to see if their is any GPS software that is compatable with the new SE K750i mobile phone.

If there isn't, it's a long walk to the train station... Laughing

Any help would be greatfully recieved.

GB.

Hi,

The K750i has a proprietary OS so won't support any of the existing mobile sat nav solutions (TomTom, Route 66 etc).

There have been rumours of some J2ME solutions becoming available late this year - but as yet I have't seen anything commercially available.

I considered getting a phone that supported sat nav software, but not that many phones do at the moment, and if you then want to change your phone to another one after a year or two, the new one may well not be compatable with your software ie route 66. So you can only get certain phones rather than having the whole range of phones/different manufactures to choose from.
I suppose things might change in a few years....

Smartphones are definately on the increase, the growth in the last 2 years alone has been huge. I think as time goes on phones with open OS such as windows or Symbian will become the norm as they'll be needed to make the most out of the 3g licenses the networks paid all that money for Laughing

K750 is just a "phone" with many features mainly camera and MP3.

It is not capable of running any GPS software or connecting to a GPS.
