Unfortunately not Crying or Very sad

TomTom are selling Mobile 5 in several different packages, to suit each platform; Windows Mobile (C500 etc), Symbian Series 60 (6600 etc), Series 80 (9500, 9300), Symbian Series 90 (7710)

The memory card bundled with each will vary, with the Windows Mobile version coming on a Mini-SD, Series 60 on a RS-MMC (with MMC Converter) etc etc

BUt surely if you used a series 60 based phone you can just swap the mmc card and it will work AS NORMAL.

I am too considering upgrading to a newer phone I have been told that there are other phones in the 60's series that will work doi you have any information on those that will?

You should be able to swap your media card between 2 series 60 smartphones ok, just like you could with the original TTM - but to do this both phones would need to be running the same version of the symbian OS - if you look at the compatability chart on tomtom.com you will see that not all S60 phones are listed.

nokia 7710 is a symbian version 90 phone, plus of course it is a wide/touch screen phone, so i would have thought requires a different version of ttm5 Question

So nobody has tomtom mobile 5 working with the nokia 7710?

I've emailed tomtom to ask why they say it does on their site when it doesn't?

Should have a reply in a couple of months if tomtom cust. service is the same as usual...

Hi Guys, me again!

Think we're all getting our wires crossed Confused

TomTom Mobile 5 IS compatible with the Nokia 7710. I saw it working on a 7710 at CeBIT :D

However TomTom Mobile 5 is going to be sold in a number of different version for the various software platforms that there are out there, MS Windows SmartPhone, Symbian S60, Symbian S80, Symbian S90.

So if you have TomTom Mobile 5 for Symbian S60 for your Nokia 6600 (as an example) it ain't gonna to work on your Nokia 7710 as it's not a Symbian S60 device.

It's not multiplatform in the one box like the original TomTom Mobile was.

Rant over :D

So what you're saying is...

Tomtom mobile 5 does work with the 7710 as long as you buy the version specifically for the the 7710 (ie the S90 version)

Thanks
