Creating TT Nav 5 POIs with MS Streets and Trips 2006.

I have found I can create my own POI categories by copying and pasting addresses into S&T and saving the map. A program called poiconverter will read the created S&T ".est" file and save it as a TT ".ov2" file. I then make a 22x22 16 color BMP, usually by converting an icon, and name it the as the Category name. For example Coffee_House.ov2 and Coffee_House.bmp. The "_" is read by TT as a space. I then copy these to files to the map directory *****-Map.

Poiconverter will also allow you to append entries to the original file.
