POI with no bitmap

I recently uploaded a postcode POI to my Navman iCN 510. A pushpin style bitmap was supplied with it. Now this was OK, but you get dozens of these pushpin bitmaps on the map screen and it is too crowded. I tried uploading the POI again leaving the bitmap field blank and the Navman used a cross bitmap which is probably some default image.

So, is there anyway to turn off the bitmap for this POI only?

As a sort of temporary solution I made my own bitmap of a green square 7x7 pixels. SmartST said 6x6 was the minimum, but I could only get it to work from 7x7 upwards.
