Assume that I'm currently in city "X". These evening I want to dinner in city "Y", 20 miles from here.

I use TomTom to search for POI, restaurants, and it shows only a fixed number of them, no more then 2 miles from here.

Even if I turn off my BT GPS, then search for Address, city "Y", and move my position there, when I then search POI I always see the previous group, relative to my current position (or, I think, last real position "seen" by GPS).

Any workaround ??

Thanks !!

not sure if this is the answer,
but select advanced planning, then select depart from, then on Pick a destination screen go to next page and select POI in city, then type in the city name and finaly select the type of POI
and hope this helps

Hi,
there is a way pre TTM5 but it a bit convoluted.

go to map then options then find. Find an address in the town you are visiting or its city centre and display it on the map view. Then options again and Use cursor, now when you press select you have an option find Nearby POI.

Oh, yesss !!!

Geordy, it may be convoluted, but it works !!
I've been in that menu (Use cursor) many times, but never tried it when it was the right moment !

I often use that menu to add a stop in already planned routes (Tom 4.x allow only one, isn't it ?, while Tom 5 has advanced planning wich allow more stops, right ?)

Thanks again.
