Reinstalling TTN after hard reset

Due the current broken state of my TTN I have been advised that I should backup, hard-reset and re-install.

As I am away from home and don't have the CD with the S/W key and would have to use the TTN 2.2.4 downloaded from the web. Can anyone advise whether I will be able to install without the key?

That should be fine. make sure you copy the file tomtomnavigator.axs to a safe location (storage card or similiar) and then copy it back after you installed 2.24

getting there - tho activesynch didn't work so I'm having to use a tool called STGviewer to copy selected files back to the iPAQ!. Does anybody know where the last TTN settings files are e.g. last visited addresses, favourites etc. It'd be nice not to have to re-enter them
