hi all
im very new to sat nav. I have a medion MDPPC250 running tomtom navigator3, but the maps seem to be out of date. ie there are dual carrage ways and round a bouts etc that navigator does not notice. Also the POI's are the same, petrol stations that havent been there for the last 3years etc. i have installed all the POI's from this site but just seem to be out of date? also some are in the wrong place!
is there any updates to fix poi's and roads?
thanks in advance

POI's can be updated by using a program called CheckPOint at the same time as TT3.
Roads cannot be up dated until TomTom bring out an update which is about once a year at this time. TT5 is about to be released.
There is no way in Navigation mode to show road names in TT3 but I believe this will be possible in the TT5 update. |

thanks for that hoppy
but i have removed TTN3 and decided to go back to medion nav. as i had some kind of a virus named "ignore_my_docs" it made TTN3 really "laggy" and stoped responding every time! and i cant delete the file????
do you know if poi's from this site run with medion software?
or how to delete/re-install windows on the medion MDPPC250?
thanks |

ignore_my _docs is not a virus its on all cards that are used in a PDA if you do not store docs on your card it means that programs will not search the card for docs, if you do store docs make a folder called my docs then you can delete the file. I'm pretty sure thats how it works.
Can't answer the question about the medion, sorry |
