Hi All

I recently purchased an iCN 635 which I'm really pleased with. I had intended to purchase the 650 but couldn't get one for love nor money. So plumped for the 635 as local Dixon's had in stock for £499. I also bought a 1GB SD card as I need to add all the European maps.

I realise that I need to purchase the unlocking key from Navman but the manual is not too clear on how I go about getting the maps on to the new card. It's obvious that the 1Gb card replaces the existing one that came with the 635 and has UK maps preloaded - so I guess I have to load everything from the CD's - or not as the case may be!!

I have also downloaded the Speed Camera Database and installed on the 635 OK. I have followed the instructions for changing the default.wav sound file to the 'real' voice warning as posted here - but still only get a 'ping'. I've checked the properties of the voice wav files and they are identical in format to the default.wav file in the \iCN635Bin\Common folder. So not sure what to do next - any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Adrian

Although Windows reports the sound files as having the same properties, they are not the same! -Only Mirco$oft could come up with that one. The file you installed is compressed, which the iCN does not appear to handle. You will need to get an uncompressed version of it.

Thanks for the info.

Where did you find/get your uncompressed file from and how did you manage to identify it as not compressed?

If Microsoft doesn't report the right properties on comp/uncomp files then I'm not sure how I can differentiate one from the other. Confused

The 'sound files' are as far as I can see 8 bit Mono, 11kHz sample rate.
I have updated the zip so if anyone would care to download and try the sound files again I would appreciate it.

Thanks.
