Help - now been 4 months and still not got TT3 stable.
IPAQ2210 and Fortuna GPS bluetooth module.
Installed TT3, then upgrade to 3.1

All works OK … but after a variable time the display freezes, mph, time to destination etc. disappear, and it does not recover.
Whole iPAQ locks up – can’t quit TT3.
If I soft reset iPAQ it starts working until next freeze ….. these freezes can be within 5mins or after an hour … on a typical 2- 3 hr drive it will lock up at least 4 times – always when you most need it.

I installed Bluetooth tweak … which improved lots of lost Bluetooth connection signal issues but did not cure the locking up.

I contacted iPAQ they took it back and replaced Bluetooth module, still the same … then sent it back again and they replaced circuit board complete – still the same.

The BIG difference since the iPAQ was sent back .. is that when the iPAQ stops responding now it is only the TT3 that freezes, and I can quit the programme and continue to use or restart.

Since it came back when TT3 freezes, if I switch the GPS module off and back on again, after about 30 sec I get GPS signal lost warning hen it all start working again OK (even continues with existing route OK)
When it freezes if I look in GPS status it shows active satts bars, but this is the previous ‘last connection. I think, as there is no signal icon showing connection iPAQ and GPS module.
Under the GSP settings it has “Tom Tom GPS” Fortuna is not in drop down list.
To me this is starting to look like the Fortune module is the issue – anybody any suggestions, or had same problem.

I have confirmed that iPAQ has latest ROM s/w & Bluetooth driver, and that the Fortuna also has lastest build.

Can anybody help ? - after 4 months it is very frustrating.

I have the same set-up and found that it only works with NMEA Bluetooth Driver selected in the TT3 dropdown list.

Read this forum entry and see if it helps
