Hi all
I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this. Recently I factory defaulted my PDA and reinstalled it. I backed up my TT3 GB map folder from my SD card first, of course.
My aim is to "import" or copy over favourites, recent locations, and other settings etc after reinstalling, or after updating maps (I have the maps from the HP v4.4 pack which are newer). Does anyone know how to do this? I tried copying over some of the files I thought might contain the settings from the map folder on the SD card, I also tried copying over the relevant file from My Device\My Documents\TT Navigator Settings but that didn't seem to work either.
The settings such as favourites and recent locations seem to be set on a per map basis (makes sense) as when you change maps (even to a newer version of the same map) those settings disappear.
Anybody any clues?

Don't bother saving them as favourites, save them as POIs and they will be stored on the storage card.

your favorites get stored in the tomtom navigator settings folder in your my documents folder. there will be a navigator globalsettings file and a file for each map. |

Yes I figured that out. But when I backed those up and then reinstalled, and copied them back, it didn't work, and I was still on default settings.
As for putting them in a POI, that's a workaround and not a fix, and I'd much prefer them as favourites. Thanks for the imput though.
